About the role
This leader drives daily floor operations performance across safety, quality, productivity, and cost while developing teams, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with associates, suppliers, and customers through verbal and written channels.
- Develop and execute the business plan for the assigned area to achieve facility goals related to production, quality, safety, and service.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to support performance and efficiency.
- Forecast staffing, workload, and performance needs to meet business demand.
- Monitor results and adjust plans to ensure consistent execution and service levels.
- Manage assigned financial responsibilities, including tracking expenses against budget.
- Maintain compliance with Logistics and company safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Investigate and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using sound judgment and collaboration.
- Serve as a community liaison by supporting local organizations and company-sponsored initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts aligned with the Walmart Performance System (WPS).
- Staffing & Performance Management:
- Ensure compliance with Logistics and company safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Develop, maintain, and support SOPs and required documentation.
- Set expectations, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
- Identify training and development needs and support learning and growth opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and develop associates and leaders within the assigned area.
- Financial Management:
- Manage assigned financial responsibilities, including tracking expenses against budget.
- Monitor asset utilization and review business and performance reports to identify trends and opportunities.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Logistics and company safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Develop, maintain, and support SOPs and required documentation.
- Investigate and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using sound judgment and collaboration.
- People Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop associates and leaders within the assigned area.
- Set expectations, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
- Identify training and development needs and support learning and growth opportunities.
- Participate in hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, and succession planning.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Support continuous improvement efforts aligned with the Walmart Performance System (WPS).
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to address performance gaps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide
- OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates
- OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics /retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Compliance, Financial Modeling and Analysis, Managing challenging workforce issues, Modeling/Forecasting, Preparing and executing budgets, Profit and Loss (P&L) Accountability, Supervising Associates, Walmart Logistics Manager, Walmart Logistics Systems

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $116,000.00 - $174,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
