This role focuses on analyzing and resolving complex supplier quality and supply chain issues, applying lean manufacturing principles, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to minimize operational impact. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery crisis management activities and provide supply chain expertise to quickly resolve supplier-related disruptions.
  • Interact proactively with Purchasing, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to minimize the impact of supplier issues on production plants.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes of crises and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve supplier manufacturing processes and overall supply chain performance.
  • Lead and coordinate clear, timely communication with internal and external stakeholders during crisis situations.
  • Monitor high-risk suppliers to anticipate potential issues and prevent disruptions to operations.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of team processes, tools, and ways of working to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key partner to Purchasing Operations groups on supply chain-related issues, offering guidance and expertise.
  • Prepare concise, structured reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to different audiences.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple issues simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality of work.
  • Maintain a strong customer-focused mindset, ensuring that both internal and external customer expectations are understood and met.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across functions, working as part of a team aligned around a common purpose and shared goals.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, and/or Supply Chain, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated supply chain development and crisis management skills, including experience handling delivery or quality disruptions.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application in supplier and manufacturing process improvement.
  • Proven ability to create concise, accurate reports and communicate effectively with different audiences, both technical and non-technical.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent issues.
  • Customer-focused mindset, dedicated to meeting external and internal customer expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to shared objectives.
  • High level of integrity, with a strong sense of accountability and professionalism.
  • Creativity in problem solving, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex supply chain and quality challenges.
  • University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supplier quality, supplier management, supplier development, and quality engineering within complex supply chains.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and practices related to supplier quality and supply chain performance.
  • Flexibility and preparedness to travel with short notice, including approximately 30–40% travel to locations in the United States and Mexico.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team process enhancements.

Work Environment

This role is based at a technical center within a large headquarters environment and is primarily office-based in an open cubicle setting. The position involves regular collaboration with cross-functional teams and interaction with suppliers, supported by standard office technologies and tools. The work schedule aligns with typical business hours, with flexibility required to address urgent supplier or supply chain issues and to accommodate travel demands.

Travel is expected approximately 30–40% of the time, including trips to supplier and operational sites in the United States and Mexico. Pay

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
