US Logistics Operations Specialist

Job Description

The US Logistics Operations Specialist orchestrates and implements comprehensive logistics strategies for US operations, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and performance across the supply chain network. The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for the daily execution of transport planning and shipment management for North American Packaged Goods operations. This role manages the end-to-end process from delivery receipt through carrier confirmation, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods across all transport modes. The specialist serves as the primary operational interface between Syngenta and its carrier partners, driving load optimization, cut-off compliance, and exception resolution within the TMS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, distribution & inventory management principles
  • Proficiency in Logistics based technology solutions (such as SAP, TMS, WMS)
  • Solid understanding of all transportation modes and carrier management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make timely and efficient decisions
