US Expansion Layout Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop AutoCAD/Revit drawings for all semiconductor equipment installations, de-facilitations, and relocations
• Maintain timely ramp plan layouts that accurately display all planned tool activity and outline ways to optimize existing and future equipment layouts
• Represent fab areas and coordinate design relocations, upgrades, remodels, and expansions
• Partner with Facilities, Site/Global Engineering, and Fab Support/Automation teams to ensure layout feasibility based on structural, mechanical, electrical, cost, and schedule limitations
• Collaborate with key collaborators to develop and drive improvements to key performance metrics
• Identify project requirements, develop timelines and business processes, and hold collaborators accountable for their work to meet project objectives
• Collaborate with local and global collaborators to research alternative technical solutions, and develop processes and associated business rules, to address critical/major layout planning issues
• Compose and deliver presentations that clearly articulate sophisticated issues, propose solutions, and identify potential risks to a broad audience

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with 5+ years of progressive semiconductor experience OR Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (or related field) with 3+ years of semiconductor experience
• Minimum 2+ years of semiconductor experience in a layout planning role
• Expert layout planning skills in AutoCAD required, with intermediate skills in Revit, Navisworks and BIM 360 strongly preferred
• Deep working knowledge of area-specific toolsets, including detailed configuration layouts, operating capabilities, process integration, and underlying mechanical systems (e.g., tool interfaces, utility requirements, service access, and maintenance functionality)
• Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across diverse technical and non-technical groups in a concise and clear manner

Qualifications

• Expert layout planning skills in AutoCAD required, with intermediate skills in Revit, Navisworks and BIM 360 strongly preferred
• Deep working knowledge of area-specific toolsets, including detailed configuration layouts, operating capabilities, process integration, and underlying mechanical systems (e.g., tool interfaces, utility requirements, service access, and maintenance functionality)

Skills

• Intermediate understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing environment/infrastructure
• Experience turning sophisticated and ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions while working in a highly multi-functional environment
• Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes
