Key Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicle functional objectives are achieved.
- Recommend actions to the Product team.
- Conduct reviews of functional systems (simulation and testing).
- Conduct HVAC system status reviews with program chiefs.
- Develop and execute development test plans with lab engineers.
- Lead communications and reporting on issues including status updates and issue resolution.
- Proactively plan and track vehicle validation.
- Support aero/thermal attributes and DVP&R test and reporting.
Mandatory Skills and Skill Proficiencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Chauffeur’s License or willingness and ability to obtain one (preferred).
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems.
- Experience with data acquisition systems.
- Experience with drive cell/wind tunnel testing.
- Ability to work with and direct bargaining unit mechanics.
- Proven ability to lead teams.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of HVAC systems.
- Understanding of heat transfer.
- Understanding of testing and instrumentation.
