Urology Physician
Position Overview
SSM Health is seeking an experienced Reconstructive Urologist or recent fellowship graduate to join their dynamic urology team. This unique opportunity offers the chance to be the sole reconstructive urologist within the entire SSM Health system, providing specialized care that no other urologist in their network currently offers.
Position Highlights
Practice Model: 50% outpatient, 50% inpatient
Weekly Schedule: 2 days OR, 2 days outpatient clinics, 1/2 day administrative, 1/2 day flexible
Call Schedule: 1:5 rotation (one weekend every five weeks)
Locations: Dual footprint at Saint Louis University Hospital and SSM Health Saint Mary's Hospital
Set Schedule: Predictable, structured weekly routine
Clinical Responsibilities
Outpatient Care: 2-3 half-day clinics per week, 15-20 patients per clinic session
Focus on reconstructive urology consultations and follow-up care
Surgical Services: Provide specialized reconstructive procedures including:
- Complex urethral repairs
- Complex urologic urinary diversion procedures
- Complex vesicovaginal fistula repairs
- Affirmative urinary sphincter implantation
- Penile implant procedures
Academic and Teaching Opportunities
Residency Training: Essential role in training urology residents in reconstructive techniques (ACGME requirement)
Mentor Medical Students with an interest in reconstructive surgery
Support Clinical Research Initiatives with strong resident interest
Program Development: Help maintain Level I Center status (ACS requirement for reconstructive expertise)

- 5 adult urologists
- 2 pediatric urologists
- 2 outpatient Advanced Practice Providers
- 3 inpatient Advanced Practice Providers
- 5 urology residents
