About the role

Bassett Healthcare Network, located in Central New York, is seeking a qualified BC/BE Urologist to join an established group of 6 MD’s and 7 Advanced Practice Clinicians. The practice is based at an 180-bed primary hospital with a Level III Trauma Center and an instant referral base provided by over 100 primary care clinicians. Full support staff includes APC’s, surgical residents, and medical student interaction. Call responsibility is limited to the primary hospital, with APC’s taking first inpatient call.

State-of-the-art OR’s include one devoted to the Xi DaVinci Surgical System. The role offers practice within an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region and affiliation with a progressive academic health system as a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Provide urological care within an established multidisciplinary team
• Participate in surgical procedures utilizing advanced technology, including the Xi DaVinci Surgical System
• Engage in academic and teaching activities, including interaction with surgical residents and medical students
• Collaborate with a large network of primary care clinicians and advanced practice providers
• Take call responsibility limited to the primary hospital

Requirements

• MD, DO, or MBBS degree
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Urology
• Completion of an accredited USA Urology Residency
• New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• BLS certification
• Strong teamwork and patient-centered approach
• Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary academic setting

Pay

Salary Range: $515,000 - $619,000 with significant incentive potential and no earnings cap. Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation, with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

Sign-on Bonus: up to $200,000

Residency Stipend: up to $60,000 available up to 18 months prior to graduation (eligibility under U.S. immigration laws required).

Supportive transition bonus of $10,000 and full onboarding program provided.
