About the role
The Princess Grace Hospital is seeking an experienced urology nurse to join their surgical team as a Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is a new role designed to grow and develop their existing urology service.
Responsibilities
- Work to grow and develop the urology service at The Princess Grace Hospital and its satellite sites.
- Support the robotic prostatectomy service and other urology sub-specialities.
- Establish clinics and services at the hospital and satellite sites that support consultant-led care.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal timing for patient diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Requirements
- NMC registered Nurse.
- Extensive relevant post-registration experience in Surgical Urology.
- Mentoring/Teaching experience.
- Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situations.
- Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to specialty.
- Evidence of continuous professional development in clinical area (relevant short courses and study days).
- Completed relevant postgraduate module (level 6 or 7).
- Evidence of advanced communication skills (level 2 course), or willingness to complete within the first year of employment.
Qualifications
- NMC Registered Nurse.

- Ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining high-quality care.
- Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to specialty.
- Advanced communication skills.

Pay
Salary: Competitive depending on experience.
Schedule
Full time; 37.5 hours per week. Shift times: Monday – Friday (will require some evenings potentially to support clinics).
