Urologist

Novant Health Surgical Institute is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible urologist to join their established team providing inpatient care in a Urology Hospitalist role.

About the role

• Inpatient-only position performing consults, procedures, surgeries, and assisting in the management of inpatients from the office-based group
• No clinic responsibilities
• Alternating 7 days on/7 days off block schedule with an average patient volume of 30 patients between rounding and consults
• No overnight call
• Inpatient Urology service is consultation-only; inpatients are admitted by the medical hospitalist service
• Practice is supported by system-wide EMR (EPIC) and provides easy access to robotics
• Position is supported by Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and dedicated OR block time

Facility is a 900-bed hospital with ~100 ED beds and over 120,000 ED visits annually.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• For specialty physicians: completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty
• Current MD license in appropriate state
• Board certification or eligibility in Urology
• Current DEA license
