About the role

FirstLight Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide high-quality in-home care to clients in Newport, RI. We have full-time and part-time positions available.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and fall prevention
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor and report changes in the client's physical or emotional condition
• Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment

Requirements

• Active Rhode Island CNA License (Required)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (Required)
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care
• Previous home care, assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare experience is preferred
