On-siteHealthcareFull-time

Opening January 2027! PawDoc Urgent Care and Surgery Dental Center is launching a brand-new center in Tacoma, Washington and is seeking an Urgent Care Doctor to join our team. We are creating a center that bridges the gap between general practice and emergency/overnight care, offering non-life-threatening urgent care for pets in need.

About the role

This role is ideal for:

  • Emergency veterinarians ready to step away from the intensity of overnight or high-acuity ER shifts.
  • Experienced general practitioners eager to broaden their scope in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Newer veterinarians seeking hands-on experience outside of general practice, with growth opportunities in a supportive culture.

We’re building a movement toward sustainable, compassionate care with an employee-first culture where every team member is valued, supported, and empowered. Collaboration replaces hierarchy, mentorship comes without micromanagement, and every team member matters. You’ll help pets who might otherwise go without care.

We are reimagining veterinary care to be more accessible, transparent, and stress-free for every pet family by combining high-quality medicine with a concierge-style experience. Our client-centric approach includes pre-visit digital onboarding, real-time SMS updates, a reception-less open lobby, and personalized care plans to build trust and prioritize the human-animal bond.

Responsibilities

  • Provide urgent care for non-life-threatening cases, bridging the gap between general practice and emergency care.
  • Apply strong diagnostic skills with an adaptable, thoughtful approach to patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and support staff.
  • Work evening and weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
  • Interest in urgent care, emergency medicine, or building clinical confidence.

Benefits

  • Competitive starting salary between $120,000 - $150,000.
  • Sign-on or relocation bonus available.
  • No non-compete agreement.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Generous PTO.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • HSA with company contribution.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Additional benefits to be announced.
