Urgent Care Provider

About the role

This is a part-time moonlighter position providing Urgent Care shift coverage for the Department. The role supports delivery of exceptional patient care and contributes to the growth of the clinical practice. Moonlighters must work a minimum of 2 shifts per month, 1 on-call shift per quarter, and 1 holiday per year, with coverage possible at any of the urgent care clinics: Farmington Health Center, Greenwood Health Center, Sugarhouse Health Center, Redstone Health Center, Redwood Health Center, Stansbury Health Center, South Jordan Health Center, and Westridge Health Center. Patients served include persons of all backgrounds and ages with a wide variety of urgent care needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for a broad range of illnesses and injuries.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures.
• Maintain professionalism and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Respond to all rapid response calls.
• Care for and treat children, adults, and pregnant patients.
• Perform routine urgent care procedures including suturing, fracture management, speculum/pelvic exams, abscess incision and drainage, toenail removal, and Wood's lamp examination.

Qualifications

• Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Utah.
• Current U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency number without suspension, diminution, or revocation.
• Eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs or similar government-funded health care programs.
• Maintain a practice consistent with recognized standards of medical care.
• Meet qualifications for University of Utah professional malpractice liability coverage.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in an Urgent Care or ER setting.

Pay

$65–$75 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time moonlighter schedule varies based on available shifts needed for coverage each week. Minimum requirements: 2 shifts per month, 1 on-call shift per quarter, and 1 holiday per year. Shifts may include weekends and can be at any of the listed urgent care locations.
