Urgent Care Physician
Responsibilities
- Perform age-appropriate history and virtual examinations
- Evaluate, diagnose, recommend treatment plan and document findings appropriately and timely
- Deliver high quality patient care while maintaining safety
- Document medical information of patients and review patient history at each visit
- Request consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriate
- Counsel and educate patients
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Evaluate, triage and manage pediatric and adult patients for acute care, and have experience with chronic disease management and mental health conditions
- Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends
- Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results
- Schedule flexibility to include evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine residency
- 3+ years post residency experience in a fast paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient setting
- Absent Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual boarded Internal Medicine + Pediatrics
- Absent completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination
- Absent Active and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state; residing in an IMLC state is required
- Experience and comfort providing care for all ages, newborn to adult populations
- Absent Ability to function within an integrated medical practice
- Absent Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Absent Demonstrable proficiency with technology
- Absent Must maintain Medicare active status
Preferred Qualifications
- Multistate licensure
- Telemedicine or virtual care experience with video based visits
- Experience with Athena EMR
- Experience and interest in supervising Nurse practitioners
- Experience with physical/cognitive requirements
About the Role
We're looking for a board-certified physician with broad clinical expertise and a passion for improving healthcare access and quality. You'll provide care to patients of all ages across a wide range of conditions, maintain accurate and current patient records, and work collaboratively with our provider and support teams.
Qualifications

Benefits
This role will report to the Medical Director of Urgent Care. Responsibilities include performing age-appropriate history and virtual examinations, evaluating, diagnosing, recommending treatment plan and documenting findings appropriately and timely, delivering high quality patient care while maintaining safety, documenting medical information of patients and reviewing patient history at each visit, requesting consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriate, counseling and educating patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed, evaluating, triaging and managing pediatric and adult patients for acute care, and having experience with chronic disease management and mental health conditions. Actively maintaining knowledge of current medical research and trends, providing administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results, scheduling flexibility to include evenings and weekends.
Pay
An average of 20 clinical shift hours per week. Weekday shifts are scheduled between the hours of 3p-11p (your time zone). Weekend shifts: Every other weekend, Saturday AND Sunday, 8 hours/day, 7AM - 11PM (your time zone). Day/Evening rotation every other weekend. Holiday shifts: 2 per calendar year.
Schedule
Part-Time: 20hrs/wk min - $108.17 per hour on average with guaranteed base + benefits. Additionally, Included Health offers productivity incentives for employees who exceed the visit target. Details of the incentive structure will be discussed during the interview process.
