Urgent Care Physician Associate Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage in Austin, Texas

About the role

CareNow Austin is seeking Urgent Care Advanced Practice Providers who are board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds and hold an active Texas license and Texas DEA. Qualified providers should have at least 3 years of Emergency Room or Urgent Care experience, with Workers Compensation experience preferred. DOT certification is a plus, and providers must be comfortable treating pediatric patients 3 months of age and older. This opportunity is ideal for experienced providers looking for flexible urgent care coverage in the Austin market.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services across multiple clinics in the South Austin region, including North Kyle, Manor, Lockhart, North Austin, and Southpark Meadows
• Float between and provide coverage at all locations within the region as needed
• Treat pediatric patients 3 months of age and older

Requirements

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds
• Active Texas license and Texas DEA
• At least 3 years of Emergency Room or Urgent Care experience
• Workers Compensation experience preferred
• DOT certification is a plus

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling with 7-, 8-, 12-, and 15-hour shifts available seven days a week
• Availability to work both weekday and weekend shifts

Work environment

• On-site location in the South Austin region
• EMR system: Practice Velocity

Clinicians on assignment may enjoy paddleboarding and kayaking on Lady Bird Lake, hiking the Barton Creek Greenbelt, and walking the 10-mile trail around the lake.
