URGENT CARE Physician Assistant
About the role
We are an Urgent Care office in Ocean City, Maryland seeking a highly motivated, dedicated Physician Assistant to join our excellent team. Our facility is currently staffed by Physicians and Physician Assistants, and you will be supported by trained staff from the front desk receptionist to the medical assistant to the x-ray technician. A Physician is on-site and actively seeing patients.
Our facility features rapid in-house lab testing, state-of-the-art digital x-ray, and orthopedic supplies. Care ranges from simple sore throats to fractures, chest pain, stroke early management, and many other complaints.
The office is less than half a mile from the beach, with numerous outdoor activities such as swimming, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Assateague State Park is nearby and offers hiking and camping opportunities.
Responsibilities
- See and treat patients of all ages
- Perform laceration repairs, incision and drainage (I & D) of abscesses and paronychias, foreign body removal, and toenail removal
- Manage minor fractures and dislocations
- Perform splinting and fracture stabilization
- Conduct basic EKG and X-ray interpretation
Requirements
- NCCPA Certified
- BLS Certified
- Eligible to take ACLS
- Eligible for Maryland License
