Urgent Care - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Location: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, New York, United States of America, 14642. Department: 500488 Urgent Care APPs.

Responsibilities

• NP or PA FT position available, D/E, 12 hour shifts, weekend and holidays per unit policy.
• Treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries with a treat and release goal of 2 hours or less.
• Care for patients collaboratively with NPs/PAs and Attending Physicians.
• Demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm, and willingness to care for a diverse patient population in a fast‑paced environment.
• Use effective communication skills.
• Function with a high degree of autonomy while working closely with the medical director to ensure quality of care and compliance with standards/guidelines.
• Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees) using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner, active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing, current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Physician Assistant: Completion of an ARC‑PA approved Physician Assistant program, active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing, current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA.
• Demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, customer relation skills, computer competence, and an active desire to learn.

Pay

Compensation range: $98,508.00 – $132,995.00 per year (minimum to maximum).

Schedule

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Work shift: UR‑Rotating (United States).
