About the Role
We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with urgent care, emergency room, or high-acuity family medicine experience treating both adult and pediatric patients to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat patients with acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections
- Take patients’ medical histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays
- Make diagnoses and prescribe medications
- Treat minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
- Record progress notes for follow-up patients
- Educate and counsel patients
- Order and/or carry out therapy with patients
- Administer vaccinations and refer patients to additional care
- Perform applicable office procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting
- Provide preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
- Recognize serious conditions and direct patients to emergency care when necessary
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
- Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
- One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care setting required (will consider 2 years of Family Medicine experience)
- National Certification
- Active state medical licensure
- Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting preferred
- Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting required
Skills
- Excellent assessment skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills

Schedule
Each provider will work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift, assigned by an authorized representative.
