About the role

Peachtree Immediate Care is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider who enjoys practicing with autonomy, treating a broad range of patients, and making a meaningful impact within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
  • Order and independently interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Georgia regulations and clinic protocols
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
  • Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
  • Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
  • Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills

Qualifications

  • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
  • Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
