About the role
Peachtree Immediate Care is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team in East Cobb, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
- Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
- Order and independently interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Georgia regulations and clinic protocols
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters
- Collaborate with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
- Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
- Independent interpretation of X-rays and other diagnostic test results
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills
Qualifications
- Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
- Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
