Urban Engagement Specialist

Duties And Responsibilities

• Engage targeted residents
• Build relationships for individual progress
• Closely monitor and support the families who live in the target neighborhoods
• Establish presence in problematic areas
• Conduct home visits
• Conduct household assessments
• Refer conflicts to a Conflict Mediation Specialist
• Refer individuals in need of services to a Case Management Specialist
• Maintain log documenting all services and products provided
• Participate in all required meetings and trainings
• Attend community events/activities as needed

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature
• Knowledge of the Kingsway East, Jeff Vanderlou, and Hyde Park areas are preferred
• Must have a Valid Missouri driver's license, insurance, and a good driving record
• Must have Dependable and reliable transportation
