About the role

The College of Engineering and Technology at GCU is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach part-time, face-to-face courses in the Urban and Regional Planning and Traffic Engineering course. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about teaching and preparing students for the evolving fields of IT and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Master's in Civil Engineering or related field
  • PREFERRED: PhD in Civil Engineering or related field, a Civil Engineer PE, and 5 years of experience

Pay

The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The Fall 2026 semester runs from September 8, 2026 to December 18, 2026. Courses are in-person and on-campus.
