UPS Information Security Summer 2027 Internship - NJ

About the role

UPS, a leader in Information Technology, is currently seeking undergraduate students to join our team as part of the 2027 UPS InfoSec Summer Internship. This paid internship is designed for highly motivated college students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related field, providing an opportunity to launch a career in Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Support real-time threat responses and protect valuable data passing through UPS servers
• Provide onsite technical support to internal customers
• Conduct heavy data analytics to improve internal tech tools
• Work on specific projects that vary depending on the InfoSec team assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to work 40 hours per week during the summer months (Monday - Friday, June - August)
• Must be a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior currently enrolled or graduated within the last 24 months from a degreed college/university program with a major in Information Security, Computer Science, and/or related discipline
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

• Hard skills: Cloud Architecture, Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Data and information security knowledge, Power-Bi, R/Python (statistical programming), Windows & Linux/Unix Administration, HTML, Java, Security+, C++, IAM ID Provisioning, Sail Point, Service Now, Azure, JSON, Windows Server, Agile Methodology
• Soft skills: Effective verbal and written communication, detail-oriented and organized, collaboration, problem-solving, multi-tasking, project management, troubleshooting
• Plus: Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Pay

The base pay ranges from $13.35/hour to $30.00/hour for Undergraduate Interns or $22.60/hour to $52.00/hour for Postgraduate Interns.
