Upper School Teacher

About the role

Villanova College seeks a full-time Upper School Teacher to join the Canadian and World Studies Department starting September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach Geography, Law, and/or Economics
• Develop the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical aspects of students
• Work in a laptop-based school environment
• Participate in after-school programs
• Support the Catholic and Augustinian identity of the College
• Engage in school liturgies, retreats, prayer services, and community faith celebrations
• Foster the spiritual development of students alongside their academic growth
• Co-Curricular Teaching coverage and assigned duties, as needed, within various grade levels
• Coach, moderate, or lead one cocurricular activity in arts or athletics after school

Requirements

• University Degree in Bachelor of Education
• Experience teaching Geography, Law, and/or Economics
• Certification at the Intermediate/Senior level with the Ontario College of Teachers
• Strong computer skills
• Previous experience working in a laptop-based school or with Edsby (considered an asset)

Qualifications

• Pastoral reference is preferred and may be requested as part of the hiring process
