Upper School Computer Science Teacher

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Teach 3 Upper School classes: Computer Programming I, Advanced Computer Science I, Advanced Computer Science II
  • Afford assistance with supervisory duties, including study hall proctoring and lunchroom supervision

Key Skills and Qualities

  • Bachelor's degree or strong relevant coursework in computer science
  • Experience working with high school students
  • Inspiring, positive, high-capacity, and adaptable
  • Able to manage a complex calendar and meet deadlines
  • Eagerness to pursue continuous improvement with feedback
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • Background working in a Macintosh environment or ability to adapt quickly
  • Bachelor's degree or strong relevant coursework in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Highly developed cultural competency skills, with a demonstrated commitment to furthering the creation of an equitable and inclusive school community that supports a sense of belonging for all students
