Upper School and/or Middle School Field Hockey Coach (multiple positions)

Position

The school is seeking Middle School and Upper School level Field Hockey coaches to assist or lead MS and US level teams for the 2026 Fall season.

Stipend, part-time position

Job Summary And Duties

• Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student-athletes for competition
• This will include plans for experienced and brand-new players
• Collaborate with coaching staff to plan, organize and run daily practices
• Attend all practices and competitions at the direction of the Director of Field Hockey and Director of Athletics
• Supervise student-athletes during all team activities
• Comply with Sacred Heart and sport-specific organization policies and procedures
• Aid in maintaining equipment
• Communicate effectively with parents and students

Typical Practice Times

• Middle School: Season starts September 15, 3:00-4:15 pm, Monday-Wednesday (occasional Thursday games)
• Upper School: Season starts August 24, 4:00-6:00pm, Monday- Friday; occasional Saturday games

Travel

Travel with the team for practices and games is required. Some games require early departure for Upper School level teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with the sport at the college level, or equivalent
• Expertise in teaching sport-specific skills and strategy
• The ability to relate and communicate effectively with young women
• Energetic, approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community
