Upper Montessori Teacher Long-Term Substitute

About the Role

This is a long-term substitute teaching position for an Upper Montessori classroom. The assignment begins September 7, 2026, and ends December 5, 2026. The position reports to the Waukazoo Elementary School Principal.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate required
• ESL (NS) endorsement or bilingual Spanish (YF) endorsement required
• Additional Elementary (ZG) endorsement required
• Must be registered with EDUStaff, LLC
• Daily substitute rates apply

Responsibilities

Same responsibilities as a full-time permanent teacher, including but not limited to:

• Planning and delivering lessons
• Collaborating with colleagues
• Grading student assignments
• Communicating with students and their parents

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
• Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position
• Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
• Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word
• Hearing: Perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels and receiving detailed information through oral communication
• Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• The worker is subject to environmental conditions
• The worker should provide consistent and reliable in-person attendance
