Found 3h ago Upgrading electrical panel from 100A to 200A I’m in town of oyster bay and considering getting my electric upgraded from 100A to 200A. My house kept tripping. I brought in an electrician who quoted me $5200 for everything including new panel/service and meter. I asked him about permit/inspection and he said the $5200 doesn’t include that. Does anyone know if TOB actually requires a permit for a 100A to 200A upgrade? Or do you just need to get it inspected after and get the electrical certificate? Also is it normal to do the work first and then get the inspection? Just want to make sure I’m doing everything the right way.
