About the role

As an Upgrade Install and Relocation Engineer at ASML US, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that ASML’s cutting-edge lithography machines function optimally at customer sites. Your responsibilities include assembling and qualifying machines on-site, installing and aligning components, and diagnosing and resolving issues.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and qualify the machine on site according to a predefined test sequence.
  • Install ASML equipment at customer locations, including new features and pilot systems.
  • Analyze applicability, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Evaluate and diagnose problems and make appropriate repairs.
  • Work with co-workers and the customer to isolate and solve problems.
  • Answer customer questions and assist customers professionally.
  • Provide support and assistance to less experienced ASML or local personnel as necessary.
  • Perform complex adjustments, perform upgrades, and prepare written technical reports if required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ Field Service Engineer work experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry, vacuum system, or plasma is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ Field Service Engineer work experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry, vacuum system, or plasma is preferred.

  • Typically works 12-hour shifts.
  • May require travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Position works under the direction of a Manager, Supervisor, or Sr. Engineer.
  • Requires access to controlled technology.
