About the role

Heartland Veterinary Partners is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join Best Friends Animal Hospital. This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 annually, along with an up to $30,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat small animal patients
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Perform soft-tissue surgical procedures and dental treatments
• Interpret diagnostic results including lab work and imaging
• Prescribe medications and recommend preventative care
• Educate clients on treatment options and long-term care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Practice medicine in accordance with veterinary ethics and regulations

Requirements/Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution
• Appropriate state licensure
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
