Position: PCBA Manufacturing Engineer Location: El Toro, CA Pay: $88,000 to $105,000 annually Experience: 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience servicing aerospace/defense, medical, and semiconductor customers is preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, preferably in Electronics / electrical and mechanical engineering OR equivalent experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer in a PCBA SMT assembly and test environment. Type: Full-time; Direct Hire Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm HB Staffing is seeking a PCBA Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description Provide mechanical sustaining engineering support to improve product robustness, manufacturability, and production efficiency.Support process and product development, including manufacturing process design, development, and project planning.Create and maintain engineering drawings, assembly layouts, procedures, process routers, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and AEGIS software.Develop manufacturing BOMs, routings, tooling work orders, and other required documentation using customer drawings, specifications, and parts lists.Create Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and incorporate engineering changes based on redlines and approved revisions.Release and maintain engineering and manufacturing documentation through the ECO process and ensure required documentation is provided to Document Control, Quality, and Production.Develop efficient manufacturing methods, tooling, and production processes in accordance with customer requirements, IPC, and J-STD-001 standards.Plan manufacturing processes and sequence of operations while supporting liaison engineering throughout the manufacturing process.Interface with customers to clarify product specifications, requirements, drawing changes, and purchase order changes, including evaluating potential cost impacts.Collaborate with Management, Production Control, Quality, Engineering, and Shop personnel to address manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, process improvements, and other production requirements.Maintain accurate documentation of testing methods, results, product configurations, and process changes.Perform additional engineering and manufacturing support activities as needed to meet customer expectations and company goals. Position Requirements Experience with ISO 9000, AS9100, or ISO 13485 environments is a plus.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) in a manufacturing environment.Experience developing and maintaining engineering drawings, procedures, process routers, BOMs, and configuration-controlled documentation.Understanding of manufacturing production flow and the ability to develop efficient production plans and processes.Experience with process design, development, and project planning preferred.Working knowledge of IPC and J-STD-001 standards preferred.Knowledge of CAD software; AEGIS experience preferred.Strong analytical, fault-isolation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Professional verbal and written technical communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Production Control, and customer-facing teams.
