Unpaid Intern - News Fall Internship

About the Role

KTVI/KPLR is currently accepting applications for the 2026 Fall semester News Internship program. This unpaid internship is designed for aspiring broadcast journalists seeking hands-on experience in a local newsroom. Interns will work with reporters, photojournalists, and producers to gain real-world experience in the television station's News department.

Schedule

Internship schedules will be based on requirements from the student's college or university.

Requirements

• Juniors and seniors studying broadcast journalism, video production, or other communication degrees
• Internships must be for school credit
• Advanced skill level due to the complexity of projects
• A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
• Previous internship experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Abide by all safety rules and procedures of the Company
• Exert best efforts in receiving training and cooperate with and follow the instructions of employees of the Company
• Maintain strictly the confidences of the Company, its customers, and any information or data received regarding the Company, including trade secrets or other confidential business information
