Universal Worker II (Med Aide) - Full Time - Nights - Eventide Crete Senior Living

Eventide Crete Senior Living in Crete, NE is seeking a Universal Worker II (Med Aide) for the overnight shift (10p-6a), including weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and continence.
• Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
• Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual Senior/client.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
• Implements activities for the Seniors/clients.
• Prepares, plates, and serves meals, snacks, and other foods requested by/for/to Senior/client.
• Assists with cleanup of the dining room and is responsible for housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
• If utilizing MA40 certification:
  • Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.
  • Evaluates emergency situations, performing CPR when necessary, based on training.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
• Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job.
• Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction).
• Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Eventide’s discretion.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• CNA and MA-40 certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry required.
• If utilizing MA-40 certification, CPR is required.
• All certifications must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee.
• Must meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.

Pay

Competitive starting pay range of $17–$19.04 per hour for Universal Worker II's based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
