About the role
The Universal Worker I (Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)) is needed to work part-time as needed, with a weekend and holiday rotation. Learn more about Tabitha here: https://eventide.org/tabitha/.
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
- Affords assistance with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
- Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
- Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
- Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by ensuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
- Implements activities for the Seniors/clients.
- Prepares, plates and serves meals, snacks and other foods requested by/for/to Senior/client.
- Affords assistance with cleanup of the dining room and is responsible for housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
- Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job.
- Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction).
- Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 - pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Eventide’s discretion.
- At least age 16.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
- CNA certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry required. MA-40 certification preferred if using.
- If utilizing MA-40 certification, CPR is required.
- All certifications must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee.
- Must meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.

Pay
Competitive starting pay range of $16-17.92 per hour for Universal Worker I's based on qualifications, experience, and location.
