Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients with a smile, facilitating courteous conversation, conducting both complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering client needs.
  • Perform more complex transactions with assistance as necessary.
  • Educate clients on digital, self‑service solutions including ATMs, online and mobile banking to enhance their service experience.
  • Support the team sales process by participating in client outreach through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities, then fulfilling the need or referring the client to the appropriate branch team members or specialist.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to seamlessly deliver Truist expertise and solutions for clients’ unique needs.
  • Participate fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending sales, service, and product‑knowledge meetings, as well as applicable training classes and web‑based learning.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk‑management policies.
  • Stay informed of all changes in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services to clients and prospects.
  • Handle a proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Two years of teller, cash‑handling, or client‑service experience.
  • Six months of client relationship‑building or sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation.
  • Ability to multi‑task under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignments or locale changes.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be required.
  • Preferred: One year of client relationship‑building or sales experience.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management, and loss prevention.
  • Preferred: Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
  • Preferred: General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
