About the role

This position involves providing exceptional customer service through sales, support, and operational duties in a banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients by performing daily financial transactions, including deposits, currency handling, and check cashing.
• Open and process various deposit accounts such as checking, savings, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
• Identify client needs via consultative conversations and recommend suitable products and services.
• Cross-sell bank products, make referrals, and foster existing client relationships to generate new business.
• Support platform activities like account openings and loan applications, and assist with loan processing.
• Conduct outbound calls for client engagement and participate in deposit/loan campaigns.
• Resolve client inquiries, manage account issues, and ensure compliance with all operational and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist banking center staff with daily operations, audit controls, and training new associates.
• Maintain operational efficiency by staying informed of updates, and adhering to risk management and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; experience as a Teller preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment like 10-key calculators and coin counters.
• Strong communication skills, client-focused attitude, and ability to perform job duties satisfactorily.
• Ability to attend relevant training and enhance product knowledge.
• Compliance with bank regulations, policies, and risk controls is mandatory.

Additional requirements

• Background credit check and compliance with relevant licensing laws, such as S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act.
• Flexibility to perform all job-related duties as assigned, with a focus on delivering excellent client experiences.
