About the role

Provide quality, accurate, and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions and opening accounts in a retail banking environment. Introduce bank products and services through outreach to prospects and provide tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. Perform related duties such as outbound sales calls to achieve banking center goals (meet/exceed sales and referral goals) and support banking center management.

Weekly scheduled hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Monday–Friday and 8:00 AM–12:00 PM Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Provide both teller and platform support to minimize client wait times and deliver quality customer service.
    • Teller support: Process daily financial transactions, including deposits, currency handling, coin counting, and check cashing.
    • Platform support: Open checking and savings accounts and provide all other deposit product services.
  • Identify client needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts, including savings accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
  • Cross-sell and make referrals to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing client relationships.
  • Conduct regular outbound calls to clients and prospects, including participation in special deposit/loan campaigns.
  • Assist clients with loan applications for personal/retail consumer needs and facilitate handoffs to the appropriate associate.
  • Research and resolve client problems, respond to inquiries on account status, and deliver excellent client experiences.
  • Enhance knowledge by attending sales, service, and product training meetings, classes, and web-based learning.
  • Ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.
  • Assist with daily banking center operations, including audit controls and training new associates.
  • Stay informed of operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 1 year of experience as a Teller preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, 10-key calculator, and coin counter.
  • Must pass a background credit check as part of the employment process.
  • Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations is required; ongoing employment is contingent on meeting these requirements.
