About the role
The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an American Board of Radiology subspecialty certified, fellowship-trained, neuroradiologist with expertise in all aspects of neuroradiology. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and a desire to participate in the academic activities of the department.
Responsibilities
- Offering outstanding clinical services, education, and clinical research
- Working closely with referring providers and trainees
- Interdisciplinary collaboration is an essential component of this position
- Rotating through all divisions and contributing to the daily workflow as well as after-hours coverage
- Performing more than 48,000 neuroimaging studies annually
- Using state-of-the-art equipment including multiple MRI and CT scanners
- Collaborating with various clinical service organizations such as the University Hospital, Ashley River Tower, Institute of Psychiatry, Children's Hospital, and Strom Eye Institute
- Engaging in research and clinical programs including a statewide stroke program, Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, and nationally ranked programs in Ear, Throat, Nose, and Pediatric Oncology
Requirements
- MD or equivalent degree
- Board Eligible/Certified in Neuroradiology
- Able to obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license
Qualifications
- Interest in clinical and research academic endeavors is required with prior funding desirable
