UNIV - Open Rank - Instructor of Audiology - Department of Otolaryngology

Position Overview

This full-time faculty position includes comprehensive adult audiologic care across outpatient and inpatient settings. The Audiologist will primarily practice in our downtown Charleston location with responsibilities at one satellite clinic.

• Cumulative diagnostic audiologic evaluations
• Amplification selection, fitting, and management
• Osseointegrated device evaluation and programming
• Inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing in coordination with ENT physicians

Academic & Research Expectations

As a faculty member within an academic medical center, the Audiologist will:

• Supervise 4th-year Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students
• Provide instruction to Otolaryngology residents and interns
• Deliver lectures to residents and house staff as assigned
• Participate in Audiology seminars and departmental conferences
• Contribute to or collaborate in ongoing clinical research

Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited institution
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A)
• South Carolina Audiology Licensure (or eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
