About the role

The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks candidates to join its Community Radiology Group for its Regional Health Network in its Pee Dee Division that includes the areas of Florence, Marion, and Black River.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging services, including Mammo, “light IR” procedures including biopsies.
• Work on varying shift coverage between the hours of 7am – 7pm, with evenings often covered by night radiologist services.
• Hybrid schedules may be available based on coverage needs.
• Must be able to obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license to be considered.

Requirements

• MD or equivalent degree
• ABR Board-certified and fellowship trained
• Experience in all aspects of general radiology, breast imaging (including ultrasounds and MR), and some light interventional radiology services
• Interventional Radiologist Experience Required
• Ability to perform job functions in an upright position, seated position, walking, indoors, outdoors in all weather and temperature extremes, in confined/cramped spaces, kneeling positions, squatting, pinching operations, reaching in all directions, using both hands/arms, performing repetitive motions, seeing and recognizing objects close at hand and at a distance, determining distance/relationship between objects, maintaining hearing acuity, performing gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs., unassisted.
• Ability to lower objects, up to 15 lbs., from height of 36 inches to floor level, unassisted.
• Ability to push/pull objects, up to 15 lbs., unassisted.
• Good peripheral vision capabilities.
• Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.

Skills

Ideal Radiologists should be able to perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging services, Mammo, “light IR” procedures including biopsies but will consider all interested candidates.
