Unit Support Assistant - Housekeeping
About the role
Texas Children’s is searching for a Unit Support Assistant - Housekeeping to join our team. This position requires someone who can work well in a fast-paced setting and perform routine housekeeping duties while responding to emergency calls.
Responsibilities
- Performs cleaning duties in assigned areas daily according to standard operating and approved infection control procedures
- Demonstrates ownership for responsibilities in assigned zone and other designated areas
- Demonstrates accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic, teamwork, and effective communication skills
- If assigned, locates, visually inspects, tests functionality, and cleans patient equipment
Requirements
- Required: 1-year experience in environmental services in either health care, hospitality, or contract cleaning service
- Prior hospital experience in Environmental Services and housekeeping experience preferred
- A high school diploma or equivalent may be substituted for one (1) year of experience
