Unit Secretary- Shock Trauma - Nights - Augusta, GA
Position Summary
The Unit Secretary supports professional staff in providing care and service to all patients/families. The Unit Secretary performs a variety of unit-based clerical duties to include preparation, maintenance, and processing of patient, unit and hospital records; relaying messages and patient requests to appropriate personnel; greeting and assisting visitors and other personnel. The Unit Secretary has a key role in the coordination of work on the nursing unit by effectively communicating with and relaying information to all patients, families, staff, and physicians.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Vocational or technical training or degree in Medical Terminology.
