Unit Secretary - Neuro Medicine (FT Nights)

About the role

The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team. This position works 36 hours per week on the night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support.
• Transcribes physician orders with close attention to detail.
• Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures.
• Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Answers phones, transfers calls, creates charts, and assists with admissions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No prior experience required
• No supervisory experience required
