Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical support to the nursing unit
  • Conducts themselves to promote an organized and positive culture on the unit
  • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve caller problems and specific requests in a timely manner
  • Provides excellent, customer-focused service by prioritizing and navigating all internal and external calls in a prompt, respectful manner from both internal customers and the community
  • Schedules discharge follow-up appointments
  • Aids in recording traumas and codes within the facility
  • Performs other administrative or clerical duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Prior healthcare clerical work experience (preferred, not required)
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required)

Skills & Abilities

  • Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, 25 WPM typing skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Engages with staff and patients in a professional manner
  • Ability to be proactive in a rapidly changing environment
