Responsibilities
- Provides administrative and/or clerical support to the ED Director/Manager under the general direction of the charge nurse (RN) and medical control.
- Provides EMR support to staff.
- Assists the department in day-to-day operations.
- Facilitates smooth patient flow throughout the Emergency Department while functioning as the focal communication source.
- Works on special projects as needed or requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- EMT certification.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records software.
- Ability to work varied shifts.
