Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• One (1) year of experience as a secretary in an acute care setting or equivalent experience is required
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required
• Must be able to handle multiple phone lines and schedule department procedures
• Ability to work with multiple computer applications simultaneously is required
• Knowledge of medical terminology, computer software skills and data entry, effective oral and written communication skills are required
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, family, visitors, and physicians under routine and stressful situations are required
