Unit Operator - 2nd /3rd Shift

Essential Functions

• On a daily basis, keeps work area clean including equipment, floors, boxes, trash.
• On a daily basis, keeps accurate records and notes on production sheets.
• On a daily basis, follows test procedures on finished goods and records results that may include; melt flow, specific gravity, hardness (test stand and handheld), etc.
• On a daily basis, adheres to proper and safe fork truck operation.
• On a daily basis, communicates with shift leaders about processing problems and is able to troubleshoot and make necessary/permitted adjustments to fix them as well as documents and communicates adjustments according to protocol.
• On a daily basis, is able to take apart, clean, and reassemble equipment.
• On a daily basis, assists line mixer and other line operators when needed.

Qualifications

• This role is a full-time position within our production department where we have a team approach to manufacturing.
• Timely and Regular attendance is crucial to your success and the safety of the team.
• The regular hours of the role are 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM or 10:45 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Mandatory overtime associated with the role depending upon the needs of the business because, with team-based manufacturing, production areas must be manned for worker safety and may continue beyond the end of a scheduled shift or may require additional overtime hours outside of normal shift schedule.

Experience

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• Forklift experience a plus
