Unit Manager, RN, Meade Street SNC (FT, Days)

About the role

The Unit Manager is responsible for the twenty-four hour management of his/her respective nursing unit under the supervision of the Director or Assistant Director of Nursing. Key responsibilities include overseeing administrative and professional policies, supervising clinical duties, and managing unit activities to ensure quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and delegate clinical duties and unit activities
• Provide care appropriate to the age of residents served (adult through geriatric)
• Achieve compliance with nursing department policies and procedures
• Assess and interpret resident data to identify individual needs
• Exercise full supervision over staff including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, restorative aides, and unit secretaries
• Manage daily 24-hour call availability

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program or Healthcare Management preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years work experience as a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Care or Med/Surg setting
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience required
• Criminal History Check clearance by PA State Police
• CPR Certification required or obtainable within one year
• Current license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners
• Good management, verbal, and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations
