Unit Manager ( RN )

Position Summary

The Unit Manager (RN) is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations of an assigned unit, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centered care. This role works closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to maintain regulatory compliance, support staff development, and promote positive resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current R.N. license by State required
• Must have at least two years of nursing experience
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills
• Able to lead a team with professionalism and compassion
• Excellent communication skills with staff, residents, and families

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical care and operations of your assigned unit
• Supervise, guide, and support nurses and nursing assistants
• Ensure care plans are followed and updated appropriately
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians and families
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Support infection control practices and quality assurance initiatives
• Mentor and develop nursing staff to promote a strong clinical team
