Unit Manager Nurse (Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse) 7a-7p

About the role

Tarboro Health & Rehabilitation is currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our team of dedicated health care professionals. The position requires an unrestricted Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license and works from 7pm-7am.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary caregiver for residents under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing.
• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Carefully coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, ensuring all assigned staff can provide appropriate care.
• Accurately administer and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Conduct thorough nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents and promptly notify the physician of any changes in status.
• Create and implement a care plan based on assessments, focusing on stabilizing residents' conditions and preventing complications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for residents.

Requirements

• Unrestricted Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards.
