About the role

The Asset Inventory Management System (AIMS) program is a Charter-mandated function that maintains the City’s capital plant inventory and condition information, along with agency maintenance schedules and cost estimates. This role involves being the technical owner for AIMS, responsible for both reliable day-to-day database operations and for application modernization.

Responsibilities

• Technical owner for AIMS, responsible for database operations and application modernization
• Serve as the administrator of the database, ensuring its continuity
• Lead hands-on development of new and updated tools
• Motivated by public-service outcomes and enjoy making complex systems more reliable, understandable, and well-documented
• Take ownership of getting important work across the finish line
